Tbilisi State University Ivane Javakhishvili is one of the first and most respected scientific-research institutions of Georgia and carries out about 200 local and international scientific grant programs annually.
Tbilisi State University, or TSU, is one of the largest higher educational institutions, with approximately 22,000 students studying in seven faculties. Along with Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral programs, the university implements higher vocational education courses, as well as short- and long-term certification programs. Working in close cooperation with foreign universities, Georgian students can participate in exchanges and joint international educational programs to earn double academic degrees.

- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree to apply for master’s programmes.
- Conducting a video interview.
- Pay the application fee.

Frequently Asked Questions
Once the required documents are submitted by the applicant, the Admissions Office translates, notarizes and prepares the documents in order to submit them to the National Center for Education Quality Improvement or recognition. Recognition of foreign education takes about 3 weeks. But it can be extended for some reasons. Based on the recognition document, the Minister of Education and Science issues the registration decree within two weeks. After that, the applicant will officially be a student of the University.
Students residing in countries where English is the mother tongue are not required to take an exam. As for the rest of the students, it is necessary to submit a document proving that the student has passed the English language level B2 or its equivalent. In the event that the student is unable to submit a document, the university will conduct an English language test.
